Turnveil — a first-person turn-based roguelike game

An atmospheric descent into ancient dungeons, turn-based tactical combat with a Souls-like spirit, and puzzle-like boss encounters where every victory feels earned.

🔱 Key Features

⚔️ First-Person Tactical Combat

  • “One turn — one action”: no long menu chains, every choice matters.

  • Even regular enemies require thoughtful decisions, while each boss is a unique puzzle solved through tactics and interaction with the environment.

  • Every foe has its own mechanic, forcing players to think several steps ahead.

🏰 Dungeon Exploration Inspired by Souls Games

  • Branching locations with shortcuts, traps, secrets, and alternate routes.

  • Lore unfolds through items, descriptions, and interactions with mysterious NPCs.

🧩 Puzzles That Shape the World and the Fights

Puzzles are built directly into the dungeon’s structure:

  • unlock hidden rooms;

  • change exploration routes;

  • alter battle conditions for stronger enemies and bosses.

🗝 Equipment, Skills, and Progression

  • Improve your stats, find gear, and collect rare artifacts.

  • Learn new abilities or enhance existing ones to craft your own combat style.

  • NPCs trade, teach, and reveal new pieces of the game’s lore.

🌀 Story: The Path to the Cursed Dagger

The hero ventures into ancient dungeons seeking an artifact —
a dagger that binds him with a curse.
When he tries to escape the depths, he is confronted by the Guardian and defeated.

He awakens far below in a hub location:
four corridors → four dungeon sectors → four keys.
Gather them all, unlock the central gate, and face the Guardian once more.

📌 What’s Included in the Prototype

  • Several enemy types with unique mechanics

Cool game, sit in there like a hour. It was really fun. Need to scale up fonts. Add some sound, creepy ambient and some lore. Feel'd like i play some good RPG game on old 3DO console :D

Thanks for the feedback! We’re happy you had fun with the game.
The current build is quite old, and a major update is coming soon with lots of improvements.

Nice! Happy to know this game still in development :D
